Valentine’s Multiplication Worksheets and Game Boards

Today, I thought I’d first share a couple of the games I made for the kids for Valentine’s Day since it’s quickly approaching.  These games are free to download. 🙂 The first set are multiplication worksheets and game boards to practice the 4s and 6s times tables. **DD only started working on these today (Monday) and I saw there was an error on her paper.  I corrected it and re-posted the...

Fraction Dominoes Games

For the past couple of weeks, LD has learned about equivalent fractions in math. A week or so ago, I shared a couple of the packet and equivalent fraction cards I had made for him.  We also bought a equivalent fractions dominoes game (and a fraction dominoes game for DD) and now that we’ve had a chance to play it a few times, I thought it was worth a mention...

Equivalent Fraction Cards (Pokemon Theme)

I made a set of equivalent fraction cards.  LD has to figure out the correct answer and then moves that many spaces on our homemade Fast Track Gameboard. You can download these Equivalent Fraction Cards (pokemon-theme) here. They are free to download. 🙂 We made our own gameboard years ago and still have it tucked in the corner to pull out!  This was an idea I got from the wonderful book, Games for...

I shared DD’s multiplication pages a couple days ago. Now here are the division pages I made for LD. He isn’t as inspired by the cute pages, but I still made a few pages for him. You can download the Christmas-themed-division here. I made the illustrations myself. There also some addition (with Pete the Cat) and multiplication (with Pete the Cat)  pages in this same style. See you again soon...

Christmas Addition with Pete the Cat and the Christmas Pup

ED is not really ready for complicated addition problems. She’ll just use the first of the six pages in this packet. I’ll have her roll the die and fill in the blanks—and I’ll also use some dominoes and have her fill in the numbers. If you don’t have actual dominoes, you can print the domino set from Mathwire. They even have a add-on set for up to double-nines. Click here to download Christmas...

Christmas Multiplication with Pete the Cat and the Christmas Pup (2s thru 5s)

The girls beg me daily for new “cute stuff” in their workboxes. The moment I have something for one–the other is clamoring for something new too! When I told DD about this new pack she ran as fast as she could to her math workbox, pulled it out and filled out the first page!  How’s that for motivation?!! DD is working on her multiplication tables from 1s through 5s.  I drew these...

Multiplication by 4s with Pete the Cat

DD has been enjoying the Pete the Cat books just as much as ED and she begged for some work of her own. She is just starting to learn her multiplication tables (1s through 5s, but this week she worked quite a bit on the 4s). Here are a couple of Pete the Cat themed multiplication pages that she worked through last week. I thought I’d share them with you...

Pete the Cat Unit

Last week I asked ED what she wanted to learn about. “Kittens!” she declared. I was thinking I would have her make a kitten lapbook, but the more I looked around, the more resources I found for some books called, Pete the Cat. I hadn’t heard of them before, but they seemed to be all the rage among the early elementary teachers who offered many Pete-the-Cat themed worksheets free on...

Free PreK or K Math Sheets

ED loves math time right now and is whipping through all the sheets she can get her hands on. I haven’t found any math books or workbooks that suits her needs, so I’ve been creating things for her. Here’s one I made for her last weekend. I printed it out and put it in her workbox for when she asks for math time. They include a phone, fall leaves, acorns,...
