Easter QR Code Multiplication Games
Active Easter Multiplication Games for 3s, 4s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s
We absolutely love active math games. With the weather getting nicer, I thought I’d put together some fun games for the girls to practice their multiplication math facts. I made a set of multiplication cards for the 3s, 4s, 6s, 7s, 8s, and 9s multiplication tables. The answers are on the QR code reader.
Here are some of the games we will play this week.
Scavenger Hunt/Race: Shh… don’t tell the girls, but I’m going to stuff multiplication problems in some plastic eggs and will hide them out in the woods tomorrow morning. They’ll have to find an egg, bring it back find the answer and then go find another one. 🙂
And here are a few other activity ideas with these cards:
Games and Activities:
- Mix up all of the QR code cards. Using the QR code reader on your phone or other device, have the kids put them into the proper order 3, 6, 9, 12, 18… etc. Make it more challenging by doing 2 at a time (for example doing the 7s and the 9s and mixing those cards together)
- Scavenger Hunt: Put the multiplication cards in plastic eggs and hide them (outside if possible!). Tape the QR code readers onto a door or other surface. Have your kids find the hidden egg and use their phone to match them to the correct QR code. They can race you (or other kids) to see who can find the most eggs and their QR code answers before the time is up (or until all eggs are found).
- Play “Math War” with the cards… with a twist. Select the cards you want to use 3s, 4s, etc. (include both the multiplication cards and QR code answer cards). Shuffle the cards and pass them out, placing them in a pile face down in front of each player. Each player draws 5 cards from their pile. Before the battle, no one is allowed to read the QR codes with a code reader. Each play puts down one card face down. Say “Math War” and turn over the cards. Use a QR code reader to read any cards that were played. The player with the highest number/solution wins that round! At the end, the player with the most cards wins the war.
- Math Shuttle Races: Place all the QR code answers on the ground about 20 yards away. Players are given equal numbers of multiplication cards. They race to the QR cards, scan find the answer, bring it back to the start. Run to try to find another answer. The person who finds the most answers in 4 minutes wins.

More about our Multiplication Bundle:
Learning the Multiplication Facts: As my daughter moved into learning her multiplication facts I looked around for the kind of multiplication practice that would help her. The math book she was using went through the math facts a bit too quickly for her. She needed quite a bit of repetition and wanted bright, colorful worksheets. I wound up making my own sets of practice pages and games. She loved that! Be sure to check out our Multiplication Bundle here: Learning the Multiplication Tables 2s thru 9s.
