Free Easter Games: Word Family Game for -at -it -ot, Egg Races Math Game

Today I have two free printable Easter games for you. One is a Word Family Game for -at -it -ot words. The other is a math game for practicing number recognition, addition, subtraction or division.

Egg Races Math Game: The first is a math game that you can adapt for any math practice as long as the answer is between 4 and 9 — number recognition, addition, subtraction or division.

Print out the game board below.

Create a die (from a wooden craft cube), whose answer is between 4 and 6. For example,

On the cube you could have the child practice

  • Number Recognition – On the cube write the numbers 4  through  9 
  • Addition Practice- On the cube write the problems 2+2, 3+2, 3+3, 4+3, 4+4, 5+4
  • Subtraction Practice –On the cube write the problems 6-2, 8-3, 11-5, 14-7, 15-7, 18-9
  • Division Practice –On the cube write the problems  32÷ 8, 45÷5, 48÷7, 56÷8, 24÷3, 54÷6

To Play: Each player takes a guess which egg will arrive at the end first. Take turns rolling the wooden cube and solving the problem. Move the chip or token ahead one. Continue taking turns until one egg “wins.”

There are two activities for this Easter activity.

Activity 1: You can have the kids match the egg with the -at -it -ot mat.
