Online Homeschool Classes

In the Fall 2024, I will be offering Online Live Homeschool Classes! These classes will be for Grades 5-6 (ages 10-12); Grades 7-9 (ages 12-15); and Grades 8+ (ages 14+). These online classes will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays (possibly on Thursday); I will be teaching in-person classes here where I live the other days. Session 1 will begin September 9, 2024.

Classes will meet live, online on Zoom. Students will also have access to their own Canvas Classroom where we will have discussions. This is where our learning materials will be posted.

Online Homeschool Classes for Fall 2024

For now, you will need to reach out to me to RESERVE A SPOT in the class you are interested in. Payments for classes will not be made until July or August. Classes are limited to 8 students. Spots will be reserved in the order I receive them.

Classes are taught live, on Zoom. Students will also have access to a Canvas Classroom. Each week, there will be a new module with learning materials provided as PDFs. There may be other materials such as videos and suggested readings. Students will have approximately one hour of homework each week.

History

• Modern History: 1920s, 1930s (Grades 8+) Session 2
• Ancient China Part I Session 1 (Gr. 5-7)
• Ancient China Part II Session 2 (Gr. 5-7)

Biology

• Biology: Cells (Grades 7-9) Session 1, Session 2
• Biology: Scientific Classification (Grades 7-9) Session 1, Session 2
• Biology: Pathogens: Bacteria, Viruses and More (Grades 7-9) Session 2
• Biology: Animal Classification (Grades 5-6) Session 1, Session 2
• Biology: World Biomes (Grades 5-6) Session 2

Chemistry

• Chemistry Fundamentals  (Grades 5-6) Session 1
• Chemistry 1: Intro to Chemistry (Grades 7-9) Chem Camp (a 5-day Chemistry Camp that covers the topics of the intro to chemistry in a daily, one-week camp. See p. 7 for more details and special price.)

• Chemistry 2: Molecule Models (Grades 7-9) Session 1 or Session 2

Homeschool Classes: Expression of Interest

As a homeschool Mom, we have loved having some outside classes to supplement my kids’ educational journey. My kids especially loved the shorter courses they did with Bravewriter and with a local co-op. They said it felt good to dive deep for a number of weeks, to finish their big project and then to finish it up!

For that reason, I have decided to offer five-week unit studies classes. That gives you as a homeschool family even more flexibility!

Class Dates for Fall 2024

• Chem Camp: Classes meet M-F, August 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 12-12:45am EST. This is a special 5-day chemistry session, that covers the same topics as Chemistry 1 for Grades 7-9.
• Session 1: Sept. 9, Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept 30, Oct. 7
• Session 2: Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18

How do you sign up and reserve a spot?

Click on the expression of interest button called FIND OUT MORE or RESERVE A SPOT. Enter your email and download the FREE PDF. This will give you more information about the classes as well as directions on how to contact me and how to reserve your spot.

Because I am in the planning stages, if you are interested in signing up for class and have a special request for a time slot let me know and I will take that into consideration!  Similarly, if you would love to do a class but can only do it on another day, let me know that as well!
