# Factors and Sums Math Worksheets

I have just added a Factors & Sums Worksheet Packet to the (growing) Multiplication Bundle.  These are provided in a spring theme and also plain (without clipart).  These pages are best for students who know their multiplication tables well. I have made these as review for my youngest, but also as practice for my daughter who is in PreAlgebra.

Here’s a sample:  What are factors of 8 and have a sum of 6?

• What are factors of 8? 1 and 8; 2 and 4
• Which of these factors have a sum of 6?  1+8=9 and 2+4=6… so the answer would be 2 and 4

There are also factor mazes on each page. Students have to create a path from START to FINISH by shading in multiples of two numbers (such as 2 and 5). They can move up & down, left & right (not diagonally).

There are 10 worksheets in this packet. (10 with clipart; 10 plain; 3 with the answers). Answer pages are provided.

Some of you have students who might not be thrilled with the flowers & butterfly clipart, so I have provided the same sheets with no clipart (See the bottom left/bottom right pictures below).

Why are these types of problems important for older students (ie. grades 5-8)?  As many of you know, you need to know factors and sums when factoring polynomials in Algebra!
