Excellence in Reading Program – Certificate & T-Shirt
Someone in a group I’m in mentioned the Excellence in Reading Program run by Mensa for Kids. You don’t have to be a member of Mensa to participate. 🙂 I really love their free printable reading lists (for K-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12). There is a wonderful collection of books there. I’ll link to those below.
Here is what the Excellence in Reading Program is about (from their website):
To encourage the joy of reading, the Foundation has developed the Mensa for Kids Excellence in Reading Program. Earn a commemorative certificate in recognition of your outstanding achievement and get an Excellence in Reading T-shirt, too!
I printed out their lists and added it to our Homeschool Planning Notebook. 🙂
Kindergarten – 3rd grade reading list
4th – 6th grade reading list
7th – 8th grade reading list
9th – 12th grade reading list
Since I mentioned our Homeschool Planning Notebook above, I thought I’d give you the link to our Free Homeschool Planning Pages: This is how I try figure out the bigger picture of our homeschool. This isn’t really a weekly/monthly planner, but rather a homeschool vision planner. It is free to download over at this post:

P.S. Our store is getting a bit of a make-over. Hooray! I can’t tell you how many people have asked me if there was a way to purchase more than one item at a time. Since I run this blog on my own and always super busy juggling our homeschooling (and homeschool planning), outside activities, and work on the website/business… it has taken a long time to get to this! (Sheepish grin here!)
You can pop over to check out our store here:
Our packets are pdf downloads.
