Copy Me — Preschool Symmetry Activity

To introduce the concept of symmetry to my preschooler
we played the “copy me game.” (That’s what I called it.)
First I put down an object and she had to put one in it’s
mirror image (I showed her how if I folded the paper over
it would be right in that spot where the paper touched
on the other side.) Then she had to put down an object
and I had to copy her. We took turns until all our objects
were gone.

My 6 year old came over, watched us and wanted to play
the next round!
