US Landmarks and Symbols — free 3-part Montessori cards
I made some Montessori 3-part cards for the kids for our study of some of the well-known landmarks and symbols of the United States. These cards include landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, the White House, Mount Rushmore and more.
You can download the US Landmarks and Symbols Cards at this link. We used these cards by talking about where they were located and placing them on our giant plastic map.
You might also want to check out the Safari USA Toob (affiliate link) which includes Lincoln Memorial, Hoover Dam, Liberty Bell, Alamo, Mount Rushmore, Statue of Liberty, Gateway Arch, U.S. Capitol, Empire State Building, White House, American Flag, Bald Eagle

RECENTLY: We went into much more depth about the US again. Not only did we go over some of the well-known American landmarks and symbols, but we went over some basic facts about the US government. We have a new 40-page US Civics and Government Unit available which includes civics cards, pages about the 3 branches of government, sorting cards about the different responsibilities of the legislative, judicial and executive branches and much more.

Hi Ewa,That's totally fine… if you'd like, I'll send you a link to a different version of that file so that you can edit/change the words yourself. Just leave a quick note or email me at– the homeschool den at yahoo dot com to let me know if that's of interest. I just walked in the door an hour ago after a ten-day holiday, so you'd need to give me a day or so to get back to you again (and to check into what I need to to make sure you can edit the document).Kind regards,Liesl

where did you get large plastic map? looks very handy like can be used for many different types of assignments and levels of study…..
I’m sorry to say that I don’t really remember. I know it came with a book, but that was quite a long time ago. You could consider getting a USA map shower curtain like this one — http://amzn.to/2ldGTWd — which is made of cloth and is non-PEVA. That’s just a thought. Sorry not to be more help! ~Liesl
