It’s that time of year again. We’re trying to schedule in summer camps and family vacations. I work really well with paper calendars for keeping track of things here by my desk. This is the spring-summer calendar I made and just thought I’d share it for anyone else who can use it. 🙂
Some of our summer plans?
We are hoping to go on another Fossil Hunting Trip to find sharks teeth. We did a trip two years ago and the kids are anxious to go again.
We also are considering going to a language camp (doing a family session) at Concordia Language Village. I heard about it because my sister (who homeschools her three kids) sent her kids last summer. My niece and nephew absolutely loved their experience. Concordia offers foreign language immersion programs in 15 languages. I’m not sure if it will fit in, but a language immersion experience sure sounds amazing.
We are probably going to go to Acadia National Park (in Maine) to go camping. 🙂 I’ve heard amazing things about that area.
And speaking of planning, I saw this great tool over at Homeschool Buyer’s Coop for planning field trips. It’s an interactive map… you click on the state you want to visit and it comes up with dozens upon dozens of options — from children’s museums to factory tours, museums to zoos. Check it out!
See you again soon, here or over at our Homeschool Den Facebook page.
