Layers of the Earth Interactive Notebook Activity

This is just a real quick post to let you know that I added in a couple of activities earlier today to the 150+ page Earth Science Packet.

I made a new interactive notebook activity for learning about the four different layers of the Earth — the crust, mantle, outer core and inner core.  You can print out a version with words or a blank version.  Students can write in their own notes or there are cut-and-paste notes provided.

Layers of the Earth - Interactive Notebook ActivityI also added in some extra teacher notes about the Layers of the Earth.

Layers of the Earth teacher notesI also added in a new worksheet that covers some geography terms like latitude, longitude, the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.  There are interactive notebook pieces for those terms as well.

That was one of the topics we didn’t review last year in our Earth Science unit and I want to touch on that when we are doing a bit of Earth Science this fall with our study of the Layers of the Atmosphere.
